Indranil Gupta

Founder Director - BrandNEW Associates

Indranil Gupta is an advertising and branding professional, whose brand co-creation consultancy, BrandNEW, focuses on integrated communications for brand transformation. He has been intrinsically involved in Amulya Jeevan’s conceptualisation and organisational evolution since its inception.

An MBA (Marketing Major) from IIM Ahmedabad (1981), Indranil’s forte is the strategy translation of business vision into brand storytelling and imaging. He helps co-create the growth path of start-ups, advises on and sees through brand rejuvenation programmes for institutions, and has worked intensively on how to strategically use the power of good design and communication messaging in diverse fields, including from education to healthcare, financial services to real estate, food and other consumer goods to social development and environment.

In the early half of his four decades industry experience, he has spear headed offices of 4 of the top-10 worldwide advertising agencies – BBDO, Ogilvy, Lowe and JWT in India, before going onto Bahrain to head one of Middle East’s premier branding conglomerates Lowe Contexture/Vahid Associates for 13 years. He has been a custodian of some of the most prestigious global brands: eg. Wills, Adidas, Oral-B, ICI Paints, HSBC, Nokia, Bata, DaburVatika, India Today, Reckitt & Colman, Kwality and VLCC…

Indranil is involved as the Brand Champion for India’s Crypto Relief Fund which has been mobilizing resources from the global blockchain community and supporting the cause of India’s health eco-system and leading its rebranding project. He has anchored various brand transformation endeavours for entities such as Tech Mahindra, Qatar Steel, Bahrain Post, Cambridge Schools, IntrCity/ Rail Yatri, The Buddha Institute, Bread & More… and mentored over twenty social entrepreneurs/ start-ups in their proof of concept and build phase.

Indranil is in the Board of Governors of the Society for Advancement of Education which oversees the running of five Cambridge School campuses across Delhi NCR.He serves as the officiating Manager of Cambridge School Greater Noida.

He has taught Strategic Brand Management for part-time MBA students at IMT Ghaziabad, been a regular contributor to Brand Equity, Gulf Marketing Review and BW BusinessWorld.

An avid music enthusiast, he is also passionate about sports,movies, traveling and writing.

The Amulya Jeevan Foundation is an organisation that lends a helping hand to the most vulnerable section of the society. Upholding the ideology that every life is precious, AJF reaches out to people in need and distress and supports them. From providing free meals to the hungry, quality education to the poor, healthcare to the needy, livelihood to the downtrodden and shelter to the deserted, AJF tries to bring a qualitative change in the lives of people in distress. AJF has a dedicated team of volunteers who reach out to people far and wide with helping hands and a smile on their faces.
