Chandrakala Khemka

Philanthropist

Chandrakala Khemka, housewife, mother and a social worker, has been an inspiration for her son, Avinash Khemka, and therefore, indirectly, significantly influential in his starting The Amulya Jeevan Foundation.

She was born in Puri in 1952, got married at an early age, and focused on the running of her large household and bringing up her children. Endowed with great intuition and intelligence, she has been successful in managing her life and impacting those of many around her with consummate ease and flair.

Being deeply religious, and having great empathy for people, she not only has the penchant to help the less privileged, she also imparted the values of integrity, equity and justice to those close to her.

The Foundation personifies her life philosophy - it is in giving that lies the true measure of living.

The Amulya Jeevan Foundation is an organisation that lends a helping hand to the most vulnerable section of the society. Upholding the ideology that every life is precious, AJF reaches out to people in need and distress and supports them. From providing free meals to the hungry, quality education to the poor, healthcare to the needy, livelihood to the downtrodden and shelter to the deserted, AJF tries to bring a qualitative change in the lives of people in distress. AJF has a dedicated team of volunteers who reach out to people far and wide with helping hands and a smile on their faces.
