Avinash Khemka

Founder & Managing Trustee, The Amulya Jeevan Foundation

Avinash Khemka is an industrialist from Cuttack, engaged in food manufacturing and logistics for an MNC.

He is an avid nature and wildlife lover, photographer and conservationist. He has co-founded an NGO Song of the Wild, which is engaged in conservation of nature and wildlife, handholding communities living inside or on the periphery of forests and creating awareness in the minds of the future generations about the reality of coexistence, importance of interdependence and need for conservation.

He organised a photo-exhibition on Mangalajodi in January 2018 in India Habitat Centre, New Delhi, which was inaugurated by Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Hon'ble Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Government of India. He organised another photo-exhibition on Mangalajodi in December 2018 in Lalit Kala Akademi, Regional Centre, Bhubaneswar, which was inaugurated by Shri Naveen Patnaik, Hon'ble Chief Minister of Odisha.

In April 2022, he published a coffee table book titled The Magic of Mangalajodi, which was released in April 2022 by Shri Naveen Patnaik, Hon'ble Chief Minister of Odisha. An active promoter of eco-tourism in Odisha, has given talks, conducted workshops and written in newspapers and magazines.

Avinash is a true karma yogi, who believes that every life is precious. It is this ideology, which made him lay down the foundation of The Amulya Jeevan Foundation, a non-profit organization, dedicated to uplifting the most vulnerable and marginalized in society. He has been involved in many initiatives that aim at building a sustainable, healthy and productive community.

With his team, Avinash has reached out to the underprivileged communities in rural Odisha, with a helping hand. From distributing free food to providing shelters, from improving the quality of education to giving scholarships, from helping people learn new skills to supporting small businesses, from organizing blood camps to offering free healthcare facilities, Avinash and his team have been trying in addressing social problems with empathetic solutions.

  • Eminent Citizen of Cuttack Award by Rotary Club of Cuttack in May 2022.

The Amulya Jeevan Foundation is an organisation that lends a helping hand to the most vulnerable section of the society. Upholding the ideology that every life is precious, AJF reaches out to people in need and distress and supports them. From providing free meals to the hungry, quality education to the poor, healthcare to the needy, livelihood to the downtrodden and shelter to the deserted, AJF tries to bring a qualitative change in the lives of people in distress. AJF has a dedicated team of volunteers who reach out to people far and wide with helping hands and a smile on their faces.
