Middle Level Education
To offer a quality learning experience to students from financially weak backgrounds, residing in a slum in Khandagiri, Bhubaneswar, The Amulya Jeevan Foundation collaborated with DAYA Foundation, to initiate a bridge learning program for the students of standards V, VI and VII, in November 2021. The program is specially curated to address age-appropriate and class-appropriate learning gaps in children studying in Government schools. DAYA conducted pre-assessments for 50 children from the Khandagiri slum in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, and identified learning gaps in Odia, Maths and English. DAYA team tailored a personalized curriculum for every child and they were taught in a dedicated, child-friendly centre at DAYA Foundation. We promoted extracurricular activities and encouraged participation in programs like dancing, singing, art & crafts, and sports (cricket, football). Special celebrations were organized on the occasion of Children's Day, Christmas Day & New Year celebrations, Science Exhibition, National Girl Child Day, Republic Day, Women's Day and World Water Day.

In 2022, The Amulya Jeevan Foundation organized a 10-day Summer Camp in collaboration with DAYA Foundation. 62 underprivileged children from the slum of Khandagiri, Bhubaneswar joined for a fun-packed learning experience from 31st May 2022 to 9th June 2022. The camp started with an inaugural ceremony on 31st May 2022, where children were invited along with their parents. AJF shared about the elements of the camp and its advantages for the young kids. Post the inaugural, the enrollment increased from 50 to 62 students and attendance was 100% throughout the camp. Art & Craft and dance were included in all the days of the camp. We also conducted special sessions like storytelling, nature and conservation where children planted saplings and gave the plants special names, indoor and outdoor games, cooking without fire, newspaper reading, dental check-ups and health and hygiene. Various competitions like musical chair and poster presentations were also conducted. The idea was to help children learn about the world around them. Healthy snacks and drinks like lemon water, lassi, and juice were also arranged on a daily basis for the children. The closing ceremony was held on 9th June 2022. Children danced to the songs they had learned during the camp, teachers, parents and participants of the camp shared about their experiences, prizes to the winners of the competitions and certificates to all the participants of the camp were distributed.

The Amulya Jeevan Foundation
It all began with Avinash Khemka, industrialist from Cuttack, reaching out to provide sustenance to the migrant labourers traveling along Odisha's highway during the 2020 lockdown. His inner compulsion and compassion grew in extent and intensity of support, as many around him were inspired to add momentum to the campaign. He decided to make this a continuing cause in his life and thus was born The Amulya Jeevan Foundation, a Charitable Trust
